Tears of passion, tears of pride;
Tears we shed as years drift by.

Tears can be a gentle rain;
Tears can be a flood;
Tears can be a cleansing shower;
Tears of both soul and mind.

Tears are in the making;
Tears are in the breaking;
Tears are in the giving;
Tears most times in the taking.

Tears are shed from the beginning;
Tears are shed from the end;
Tears are shed from the heart;
For 'tis where most tear drops start.
