Then shone the sun so brightly
Yet with shadows the darkness grew
As terror alone but filled the moments
Prayers for the children is all we knew

Helpless, forelorn, not forgotten
Through the endless hours of dismay
With innocent blood shed by so many
Again for the children, I beg you to pray

With its thunderous crash, the muzzles flash
As instruments of death now take their toll
And what be the price now paid, I ask
Many precious lives and innocent souls

So with a flood of tears now shed, in anguish
Final farewells with painful words now they say
Could it be that society is to blind to see
The signs that led to the darkness that day

"Me"
